Hey guys daily post has come! Today I'll be sharing about what it's like to be a hand sewer and why I like it. As a hand sewer I enjoy the art of creating your own fabric object! It's like being an author you never know what you want to make but, that until this bright idea pops in your head like a snap of a finger. Your also never quite sure how it will turn out such as the quality, the look, and the shape because sometimes when you sew you get tired make a lot of giant gaps or when you cut your dog distracts you and you cut wrong and never realize it until after it's done or someone points it out.
All of those things make sewing a mystery which leads to why I like sewing. Yet I rarely sew that doesn't mean I can't like it! Other reasons I like hand sewing is because like ice skating you can do so much with it such as making fluffy pillows to daily clothes you wear! Other reason is that you can also make something up or sometimes you don't get the right shape and it turns into something else.
Yet hand sewing is fun but, it takes up so much time because first you have to make or buy a pattern trace it out, then cut it carefully and all that preparation. Your not even near done after all that because when sewing you have to pull out your needle stick t through the puny little whole and sometimes it doesn't like to cooperate. Plus when you sew you have to make sure the not is big enough that when you pull the thread through all the way and slightly yank it that it shouldn't come out. Next when your done that now you have to stitch which is where the slow process come in. When hand sewing you have to be careful not to make giant gaps and that your stitches are nice and tight because if you don't it will fall apart on you in a week or two. Trust me my first time I thought I sewed tight enough and close enough but it fell apart in about a week and a few days. Another thing I have to say is that your hand will grow fatigued so you might consider taking breaks.
Thanks for reading sorry I have no images I will try to update this image with pic of my hand sewing asap!
