How I Draw Using Images!

Hey guys as you can see from my drawings I draw most of my drawings from images and try to mirror images but, today I want to share how I do make it turn into drawing!
Well how it basically works is I look at images such I don't know lets just say happy face! I look at each centimeter and try to figure out how it's put together. Sometimes I will draw with my finger  on the image which gives me the feeling of how it's suppose to be like.
Next I try to draw every inch carefully and precisely by taking my time it gives me the great smiley face I wanted! I try to do every shadow, shading, etc. to make it look exactly like the image! Also try to draw lines straight, curvy, etc. to the degree it is at! I study the the length of each line or curve on the image and calculate where each individual shape is to get the shape together! Finally it gives me a good product of a drawing!

The Noodle Doodle Box!

Hey guys yesterday as a middle school gang of drama students, we went to see a very great play called the noodle doodle box! The play was very entertaining because it very funny, exciting and most of all it included a very important lesson that I always thought was a very good one. The play also included our very great teacher Mr. Ganes playing the drummer in the story.
This play teaches you the story of team working in such a unique way but I think it also makes you appreciate that there are so many things that you like or want but many people forget that people are struggling to find water, or to collect money to survive, and that you can make your mind as small as you would like but, no matter what these people will still struggle so you should appreciate for what you have.
This cute story was about a guy named Pepper and Zacharias are constantly fighting over their boxes trying to show off and is unwilling to share. They call each other names but when this drummer comes by Zacharias and Pepper are interested and wanted to learn. So they take turns playing the drums. While the other one is gone the drummer says for them to take their box to teach the other a lesson and that they would become the top drummer. When they find out that they were scammed by the drummer who ran off. They realize that sticking together and working together made them a lot happier and more fun then keeping a box to themselves.

New Badge Assignment for Design+ Tips on How To Draw Them!

Hey guys it cooljammer again! I am so sorry you haven't heard anything from this blog in like ages, and I know I been slipping behind a lot on many, many posts. So today now that I am back, I would like to share about designing badges for a project in my school! Our assignment was to design badges  that match the learner profiles IB for grades 3 and 6 as the sixth grade team! Our lower school principle Mrs. Johansson wanted us to create better badges then the ones we are currently earning to encourage the kids more! She recommended for us to be using vector graphics to make it look clearer and easier to see. So one of our first tasks to complete this mission was to sketch out designs for our badges! I chose to create badges for the sixth graders to eventually be able to earn! so here are some of my drawings!
Somethings that you should consider when designing badges is that you want to to limit words if you are but sometimes words will help understand,  you want to keep it simple for younger kids and have it gradually get more complex as they age, you want it to be distinctive, unique, you want it to have interesting shapes not just one boring circle or square. Be creative to!
How to draw them!
  1. When drawing these badges you want to think of something creative such as when I did risk taker my idea was to draw a thumbs up with a new sign next to it, recognizing that it is good to try something new in life
  2. It helps to look up some ideas but, not directly copy the ideas(s). Such as the open minded I saw an image simalar but I changed or took some things out of the image to make it my own design!
  3. Try relate it to things that happen in real life such as if planes fly by and you want to represent badges for the airport then try draw some plane designs!
  4. When designing come up with a cool outline that shapes the picture together this way you get a clean nice looking badge.

Upcoming Drama Field Trip

If you read are previous posts on the Art classes, then you should know that in LJA there are four Art subjects you can pick from. On Wednesday (which is tomorrow) the whole 6th grade will go on a field trip. This field trip ties in with the Arts because the Drama teacher, Mr. Gaines, will be featuring in this field trip. We will be watching a play that Mr. Gaines will be in! The play we'll be watching is called "Noodle, Noodle Box". The play shows the 4 agreements and friendship. This post is just a friendly reminder to the 6th graders of LJA and something that we will be doing. I hope you guys like this post and I hope everyone enjoys the field trip tomorrow!
